this is my cry for help. i’m looking for the perfect dress to wear to a friend’s wedding. it’s a lovely couple that is getting married and my husband is even in the wedding so i want to be sure to look my best.
dresses have always been tricky for me. it’s tough to find one that nips in at the waist, out at the hips, hits the knee, and flatters on top. i always seem to qualify a few of those points but never all of them.
so, i have less than two weeks to pull this off. send me your suggestions. i’m looking for something cool, classic with a modern twist and at least semi comfortable. show me the way!
yep, small things. tiny things. little stuff. teeniny-ness. if you know me at all, you know that this is what i’m all about. in fact, i even invented a word to describe tiny, delicious, sometimes ridiculous things–smaw!
so here’s some smaw stuff that i made for you–irish pride dog tees. get one now so you have it well in advance of st. patty’s day. you can order at www.smawisgood.com.
i spotted a cute new “hard tail forever” outfit for sale at inner bliss yoga studio. i decided to check it out online at the hard tail site. that’s when i stumbled upon the photo album showing the images that hard tail uses in their current ad campaigns. (there are five pages of images, so be sure to click on them all.)
uh, here’s a new year’s resolution if you’re looking for one: health, fitness, strength, flexibility. and some cute new workout duds. sign me up!
i was very excited to hear that my neighbors are expecting.
not because i’m “baby crazy” but because i am crazy about buying tiny, cool stuff. and now i have a valid excuse!
but who wants to be a gift-giving hack and buy a onesie with some overused saying like “too cute” on the front? not i!
so i was thrilled when i discovered unique, hip baby apparel made locally in cleveland by small screen designs. sara hoover is the genius behind the label. her designs are simple and clean and lots of fun.
and to top it off, sara screens her designs on american-made american apparel products. how can you not feel good about this!?
double the fun and get one of her designs in your size.
(small screen designs are available at room service in the detroit-shoreway community and online.)
this coat is so wonderful in so many ways that i can barely stand it. the body is a cashmere wool blend with a silk lining and the sleeves are stretch leather. yes, stretch leather.
not an inexpensive piece to purchase but i might not be able to resist if i were to come face-to-face with this beauty. (and note that for the cost, it is couture so you know the fit would be superb. and, as they say, it really is all about the fit.)
see it & buy it: lia lintern
(and if you can’t buy it, you can at least enjoy the glamorous photography on the site.)
